After 20 years experience of cooking traditional Vietnamese food in Dalat-Vietnam, Mrs Duong has opened Lotus. It’s an exclusive authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Viaduct, Auckland central, with the aim of offering the best traditional Vietnamese cuisine and in an authentic ambience.

The lotus flower is traditionally the symbol for the beauty and elegance of Vietnamese women. Similarly, Mrs Duong chose ” Lotus” as the name for the restaurant, hoping to introduce the delight, beauty and elegance of traditional Vietnamese food. Lotus is the first and only truly authentic Vietnamese restaurant which offers fine dining and impeccable, traditional service.

The chefs at Lotus were top of their field in Vietnam, and were hand picked and invited to cook in our restaurant. Most of our staff are Vietnamese and you will observe them wearing the elegant ” Ao dai” – our beautiful traditional clothing.

All our key ingredients are imported from Vietnam, and combined skilfully with the freshest local produce. In this way Lotus is unique …… and the taste speaks for itself.
